multitasking3

I multitask all the time and I believe I can do it very well to the point where I can’t concentrate anymore on the important things that needs to be done. Temple Run used to be a huge distraction to me, I would constantly play non-stop until I hit my high score so I was pretty much playing the game at all times. I knew there was something going on, I wasn’t able to do what I needed to do because I was distracted by the game so I was aware I needed to delete it and it was a good choice. I get distracted easily especially when it comes to technology, even when I’m doing my homework I would be on tumblr and I would blog. I also go on Netflix and I can’t even concentrate on the things that I need to take care of and I tend to forget a lot because technology has taken over my whole life. I wouldn’t consider myself as being addicted like those people on the video we were watching today in class.

The ability for me to focus on a task has diminished my everyday life, When I’m around technology it’s hard for me to stay on task and do the things that I need to do. That’s exactly what I did throughout my junior year technology has literally taken over my high school that I can’t multitask if technology is involved. Technology gives me a new way to be intimate but it also gives me a feeling of being isolated. When I use technology I can isolate myself to everyone even just for a little while it still helps me to feel right about myself. It does help me to communicate with others and it helps me to be connected to people that I truly care about. It helps a lot when it comes to homework whenever you need help on a question Google or any other website will help you with that.

Technology is a great and useful gadget but it does have it’s disadvantages it can really take over everything, when you’re distracted it’s hard to stay out of it because probably a lot of people are using it in front of your face. I’ve learned that having to multitask takes a lot of work but it does feels great but it does have their limits and I’ve learned my lesson throughout my junior year in high school. Being behind in school wasn’t exciting for me at all and now when I’m doing my homework I do try to stay away from technology unless I need to do homework in  the internet. Other then that I try to stay away from it, digital nation has teach me to try and stay away from technology when I have homework.
